Grison Leather Recolouring Balm, Grison Leather Care, Grison Leather Restoration

Grison Leather Restoration and Recolouring Balm is a simple, and effective leather care product, that will help to renovate and restore the aspect of old, dried out and faded leathers. Grison is a very effective tool to cover over cracking in leather, and in most cases eliminating  the need for a sealant and dye. Grison Leather Restoration is available in 15 colours, and can be used with any type of leather. We often use it to blend minor scuffing, light crazing and minor blemishes in our used and restored Chesterfield suites, which are typically corrected grain "Antique" leathers, though we have used it many times with unfinished leathers to great effect.

Grison leather balm is effectively a colour fast pigment wax, that feeds the leather, and deposits colour into the pores of the leather. To use the leather balm most effectively, the leather needs to be cleaned thoroughly, exposing the pores. A simple leather wipe, such as the gumption leather wipe, will assist with this. Once the leather has been cleaned, you take the Grison leather recolouring balm, and with a clean lint free cloth, gently massage into the faded/cracked area of leather. The colour should return, or the cracking should darken, depending on the type of leather and the damage and severity in question. Use a gumption leather wipe to simply wipe away the excess. You shouldn't need to repeat this process often. Grison Leather Care is superb for the general maintenance of your leather suite, or leather car interior. Use with a soft cleansing option, such as the gumption leather wipe every 3 months or so, to improve the life and look of your suite, whether it is old, or brand new.

Grison Leather Re-Colouring Balm is available in around 15 colours. Each colour splits into shades of colour, creating an extremely versatile pigment wax. For example, the colour "Green" can be used on shades of light and dark green leather, effectively darkening and blending the crazing and cracking of the leather to a similar shade. If you are trying to hide or blend a blemish that is darker than the colour of the leather, you will need a leather dye in preference to grison.

We highly recommend Grison Leather Re-Colouring Balm as an effective way to enhance the look of old and dried out, or fading leather, though you should test it on an inconspicous area before proceeding to use it on a whole suite, or leather interior. In some circumstances, you may require a leather dye, or repair. If this is the case, please contact us, we will be happy to assist, and give the best advice we can. Though we highly recommend Grison Leather Balm we can not guarantee results, as results will vary from leather suite to leather suite, with age, usage and damage severity.
